Fall colors on Black Cottonwood trees and the granite cliffs of Yosemite Valley reflect in the still, crystal clear waters of the Merced River in Yosemite National Park as the Golden Hour sunlight illuminates the tops of the trees and the top of the cliffs. Yosemite Falls has run dry for the year, but the dark spot showing where it flows is still visible on the granite high above. Bigleaf Maple, Black Oak and Pacific Dogwood also contribute to the fall color display throughout Yosemite Valley, which is often highly underrated as far as fall color displays go.
This photo was taken one month before Serenity of Silence. Autumn's Majesty showcases Yosemite Valley with peak golden fall colors, blue skies and the Golden Hour in a vertical orientation, vs Serenity of Silence which showcases a late autumn scene with storm clouds in a horizontal orientation.

Technical Note
A high-resolution panoramic stitch [2x3 aspect ratio] of 6 single exposure images all taken at the exact same settings using a nodal rail and L-bracket on a 3-way pan and tilt panoramic head for nodal point accuracy, ensuring the final image preserves museum-grade detail and resolution across the entire frame, from the textures of the landscape to details reflecting the water. The vertical 2x3 panoramic format is ideal for large format fine art printing, capturing the full height of the Yosemite Valley from the crystal clear riverbed to the granite cliffs above.

This 6 image vertical panoramic captured each image using the single exposure workflow of the "Mead Method," developed over 15 years of fine art landscape experience. This image preserves a genuine, single moment in time without the use of composites, sky swaps, or generative AI. Just a single moment in time, preserved.
