Sunset Magic on the Oregon Coast during a Minus Tide following a King Tide
There's something magical about those soft pastel colors at sunset on the Oregon Coast which captivates my soul. When everything comes together just right, seeing the magenta and purple pastel colors light the clouds above at sunset is truly a sight to behold, especially when combined with the wet sand from a negative tide (minus tide). After a storm and the hard, pounding waves begin to clear, the beach is often left with beautiful textures and patterns left in the wet sand by the receding water.
The mixture of wet pebbles, rocks, and patterns in the wet sand was stunning, especially when combined with the ocean and the wet sand on the beach reflecting the magenta hues from the sunset in the sky above. It was a moment of divinity over a thin place that often blurs the lines between heaven and Earth. The Oregon Coast is always wondrous, but witnessing its magic against a vivid sunset is always something that makes time stand still. The most beautiful sights in nature often follow a clearing storm, and when the conditions all come together like this in a perfect nexus, it creates some of the most magnificent sights you'll ever see. I could get lost forever in these moments, and I suppose that's why I'm always drawn to them, and why I'll always find my way back to this enchanting place.
