Late Autumn in Yosemite can be absolutely magical. The cold sets in and the last colors of fall hang on as the crystal clear waters of the Merced River slow to a crawl and take on a beautiful reflection. It's a thin place which seems to blur the lines between Heaven and Earth, and it's moments like these where time always seems to stand still. Everything seems perfect as you get lost in the moment while the cold, crisp autumn air brushes against your face. I've always found serenity in nature, especially when the late autumn weather arrives. Things always seem to slow down, and life just makes sense. I could sit for hours next to the riverbanks of the Merced River, staring out at the reflections and the beautiful scenery of nature as it unfolds in front of me. It's nature's cathedral at its finest. Nature has many grand cathedrals, and Yosemite is one of the grandest of them all.
