Route 66 (and other Americana)

Americana is the history, geography, folklore and cultural heritage of the United States. Perhaps nothing personifies Americana from the 20th century more than US Route 66, known as “The Mother Road.” Whether it’s US Route 66, the Old West, Automobiles or something else, pictures of Americana evoke a feeling of nostalgia and days gone by.

Now mostly regulated into the annuals of American History, this was the last spot on U.S. Route 66 bypassed by Interstate 40. It was bypassed in 1980. It's a glimpse into America's past, and a glimpse into a bygone era.
