Horseshoe Bend - Glen Canyon
Glen Canyon is a canyon in Southeast Utah and Northern Arizona. It begins at the confluence of the Colorado River and the Dirty Devil River, and ends at Lee’s Ferry (where the Grand Canyon begins). Most of Glen Canyon is inundated by the water of Lake Powell, which was created in 1963 with the construction of the Glen Canyon dam. The section of Glen Canyon stretching from Glen Canyon Dam to Lee’s Ferry is one of the last remaining sections of Glen Canyon. Famous Horseshoe Bend is located in this section of Glen Canyon, and the famous Upper Antelope Canyon and Lower Antelope Canyon are located nearby just outside of Page, Arizona.
