Eagle Creek Wildfire

The Eagle Creek Wildfire burned through the Columiba River Gorge starting on September 2, 2017. The fire started after a 15 year old threw a "smoke bomb" into a ravine on Eagle Creek. It burned over 50,000 acres. Over 1,000 firefighters fought the blaze over the difficult terrain, working hard to save the gorge.
