Canyonlands National Park

Canyonlands National Park is one of Utah’s famed “Mighty 5” National Parks. It is comprised of 3 distinct sections: Island in the Sky, the Needles District and the Mazed District, which are all separated by the Colorado and Green Rivers. Canyonlands is home to many buttes, mesas, ruins, rivers and deep canyons cut through the sandstone. In some sections, Juniper Trees seem to grow out of nowhere. Once the sun goes down and the stars come out, the dark skies provide excellent star gazing opportunities.
